for AK ammo!

I've been used to spending about $3 a box (20) for 7.62x39 Russian ammo. I normally buy it at gun shows. Well I ran out and the son and I stopped at a gun shop on the way to the range today to try out the latest SKS I'd acquired. Closed on Sunday! :( Well, can't knock anyone for that, so we went to wally world. $17 for a WWB of 40!!! ;P I really didn't expect to pay 3X the price I was used to. Needless to say, we didn't shoot all day ;) Thankfully there is a local gun show in early May!

If there are any Dick's Sporting Goods near ya they carry the Wolfie stuff. And if they haven't shut down the local K-Mart they sell ammo too. (There are few left here and there.) Or just save your pennies and order a couple thousand round from Sportsman's Guide or Cheaper Than Dirt or Natchez or other favorite mail order house, and then you won't be out come Sunday. :)

I hope you saved that WWB brass, it's reloadable unlike most 7.62x39 ammo. Somebody will want it!

that happened to me at a local indoor range. They let you shoot centerfire, but since the magnet stuck to my ammo, I had to buy UMC for 10.00 a box! If it wasn't such a drive, I would have left. Never again going there!
