P99 QA Trigger pull?

Does the P99 QA trigger pull of 7 lbs. feel like a lot more than Glocks 5.5 lbs.? Is there a reliable way to reduce it as there is with Glocks?

I've got questions too on this topic. My Glock has a 5lb connector with a NY-1 trigger spring in it. Would a QA likely feel like a hair trigger to me because of the shorter trigger travel? Isn't the QA's trigger travel about half that of a Glock?

i'm not a fan of the QA trigger pull...too light. as i posted in another thread, i mainly shoot my sigpro 2340. having a DA option is preferable, in my opinion. the P99QA is a sexy gun, but i am starting to think it is not for me.

How is a 7 lb pull on the P99 lighter than the Glocks 5.5?

I have a P99QA and two Glocks (both with 3.5 lb. connector). I find that there is more resistance intially with the P99QA trigger that there is with the Glock. I like the P99QA trigger.

Some owners who have posted at the Walther forum (http://www.waltherforum.com/) have cut some coils off of one of the springs to reduce the weight of the trigger pull. As far as I know, Walther does not offer any drop in parts to lighten the trigger pull.

It´s not so much the weight. it´s the way. The way of the QA trigger is pretty short.

Had a chance to try the QA trigger in the last couple weeks. The travel before discharge was way too short for me. I'll stick with the old DA/SA, thank you.

I guess I like to have to squeeze the trigger a bit before the weapon discharges, a la the the Glock, and the P-99QA's striker breaks quicker than I feel comfortable with.

Both of my personal Walther P99s have the traditional DA/SA triggers. I do, however, like the Walther P99 QA trigger better than the Glock's because it doesn't seem as long and mushy feeling.

I have read where the Walther's trigger pull can be reduced by removing some coil(s) from the striker spring. I have also read that some owners have experimented with replacing their Walther P99 striker spring with a Glock reduced power striker spring (4 lb.). Someone also posted that he had tried replacing the P99's striker spring with one from a ballpoint pen.

I'm guessing that the striker spring is the one that encircles the striker (well duh...). How could a ballpoint pen spring be used for this purpose? I would think it would be too small.

I have numerous Glocks and shoot them regularly. I own a P99QA and find no real difference when I'm shooting. Actually the P99 trigger is pretty darn good and getting better.
