Anyone out there know of published detail strip instructions for a P22?

Thanks

Try this link. (http://www.sju.edu/~bc165187/) Click on the picture of the P22 and then on the complete tear down link, and there you have it.

Not too difficult, but easy to lose small springs. After you drift out the retaining pins, pull the plastic grip frame out over the SN# stamp, and slide the receiver up and out. Be sure to keep 1 finger on the slide release, as you do this. The spring for the release is non-captive, and the S/R is held in place by the grip frame. There are two Phillips head screws holding the slide plates together. I would suggest working the plates apart over a big, white, plastic tub. It gets a bit complicated from there, but its a start;f

That's a great tutorial...

Does anybody know how close the P22 break down is to a P99?

Thanks!

Mr Chopperdog,

Thanks for the great link! However, question:

How does one remove the pin for the magazine catch (and spring)? Just push it through?

Yes, it just taps out from left to right.
