U stamped on frame?

I had a Kahr where a "U" was stamped on the left side of the trigger guard.
Anyone knows what this means?

According to a post that I found on pistolsmith.com, this means the pistol was returned to Kahr for repairs by the original owner and replaced. The original pistol was repaired and sold to a distributor at a discounted price. I would probably give Kahr a call. Again I can not attest to the validity of this, as this was post from another member.
