View Full Version : CZ 75 vs. Vertec Grip

I've been resistant to the Vertec-style grip - mostly because I tend to like "thicker" grip styles. I recently bought a CZ 75BD, though, and it felt pretty good. It feels REALLY good now that I've put some Hogue wrap arounds on it.

So that got me thinking...how close is the Vertec grip to the regular CZ? They look fairly similar in photos. If they're close, then it stands to reason that the Vertec with Hogues would feel as good as the CZ with Hogues (I'd plan to modify the FS grips to fit the Vertec...I read some threads about how to do it on Beretta.net and the very good results. Worth $15 to give it a try!)

Any feedback or comparisons are welcomed!

Thanks,
Jim

The grips a similar but I like the Vertec better. I have a 92G Vertec and a CZ85 Combat. I have Hogues with finger grooves on the CZ but the Vertec was still smaller and I like the angle of the grip better. If you want sometime I can meet you at Shooters Paradise if you want to shoot the Vertec.

Thanks for the info...and the offer. If I can ever find some time in my schedule, I might take you up on it!

I have a Vertec with Hogue grips from a 92FS cut down to fit it. I don't know what the Hogue grips feel like that are meant to be on there because they cost almost 60 bucks in some cases!
Anyway, the modified grips make the gun feel a bit wider, but it still does not interfere with the trigger reach. It still feels nice in my hand and looks a lot less goofy than the standard grips.
