P99 Recoil rod protruding out of slide

First off, thank you all for the great wealth of info.

I have a 9mm Walther P99 03 AS and the recoil rod protrudes out of the slide, roughly 1.5 mm. I know this is normal but how much does everyone else's recoil rod protrude? Is there a way to make it flush with the slide?

Just do a search and it should come up.

It's a little "ugly" but it's perfectly normal.
