What are the best after market hicap mags for the P99?? I know factory are the best but I have not been able to find them. I need good mags that won't kill my wallet.

The only mags I can personally recommend are the factory mags. They are pricey - CDNN carries them for $39 each (15 or 16 round). I noticed that TopGlock carries them for $36.95 plus a 5% discount for GlockTalk members. ($35.11) They charge $7.45 to ship one mag...not sure how much it is for more.

TopGlock also carries the ProMag magazines, but they only carry the 10-rd version. I'm not sure if ProMag makes a standard capacity mag or not. If you've read any forums, you've probably read alot about ProMags. Some people swear by them and others curse them. Personally, there have been enough bad reports that I wouldn't take the chance on them...although they are significantly cheaper than the factory mags.

One of the "prices" of being a happy Walther owner is the high cost for mags!

They have 15 round Promag mags for $29.95 each or a 32 round mag for $34.95. I've only used factory mags so I can't comment on how they work.

I just ordered 3 from CDNN, I paid more but I am glad that I got factory mags:

Walther P99 9mm 15rd LE WAL55 3 38.99
Factory Magazine New
Subtotal 116.97
Shipping 9.99
Tax 0.00
Total 126.96

Shipping was $9.99 which seems bad, but it's not nearly as bad as this from arizonagunrunners.com:

ML18800
Quantity: 1
Details: MeproLight - TD fixed P-99 set
This model will also fit the SW99 9mm and .40 full size pistols
Stock# Walther Sights
Each: $ 68.00
Item Total: $ 68.00

_______________________________________

Sub Total: $ 68.00
Webstore discount: (%) - $ 0.00
Sub Total: $ 68.00
Shipping Total: 1 units (Minimum Shipping Charge UPS Standard) $ 9.00
Total: Any additional shipping will be added to this total. $ 77.00 PAID

$9.00 to ship a pair of handgun sights ;g ;g ;g

The total was still cheaper than other places that sold these Meps for the P99 so I guess I can't complain too much.

 I might order a few of those soon too, just to have all factorey mags. I got my 15rd Pro Mag mags in the mail the other day. The seem like decent quality, fit into the gun nice. I could only get 14rds in though, I guess I'm just being a wuss about shoving the 15th rd in :dunno:

Well, just a quick update, I went to the range this morning...put about 150 rounds through the Promag 15 rd mags, they worked flawlessly. I read somewhere, someone was saying the slide lock wasn't catching the slide after the mag was empty, but I didnt expeirience this problem at all :dunno:

Well, since we are talking about mags, I have my recently purchased P99c and would like more mags with the finger extentions. I can't seem to find any except directly from waltheramerica. Does anyone know of a cheaper source for factory mags for this gun?:)
