Hey all SBR owners.....I am looking to register my bushy as a SBR and use it at work on raids. The thing I dont like about my rifle right now is that it has a 16" barrel and its aweful "clumsy" trying to make fast entry into some areas.
I want to SBR it and was thinking about a "kitty kat" (7.5" barrel) but I have heard they can be unreliable.
Does anyone have any experience with these? do they jam alot? any recommendations on a shorter barrel length that will function RELIABLY?

***Reliability is my main concern ***

I would try and stay around 11.5" bare minimum, otherwise you might as well have an MP5 or similar.

Go over to the Light Fighter forum. They have a thread going in the Weapons section about the 10" and 11.5" SBR's.

I work with a guy that is on the entry team at my department. He SBR'd his rifle and put an 11.5" (I think, may be 10.5") barrel on his. He says he loves it and has not commented about any reliability issues.

I have not found a 10/11" upper to be much handier than a 16". YMMV.
