I have a brand new G21 that I have not even fired yet. Don't get me wrong, I have owned them in the past and found them to be great. I shot one last week and it seemed like the slide was cycling a little slow. Kind of like a slow drag (hard to describe). I didn't try any double taps so I don't know if this is a problem or not.
I chambered a round on my new pistol. When I push back the slide from the front, the slide kind of hangs up/freezes in place. If I take the bullet out and push from the front, no hang up. It makes me wonder if a stronger recoil spring is needed. I believe that no mods should be necessary, but this is really bothering me. I have none of these problems with my 22 or 23. I would say that the pistol just needs a few hundred reounds run through it to break it in, but remember, I shot a 21 a week ago and felt the same "slow drag?".
Anyone else know what I'm talking about? The last 21 that I owned was a 2nd generation, so I don't know what has changed. I know I'm not imagining this. What's up?
