Looks like the FCC may be implementing it after all...

If I can't record with my TIVO, we're going to have a problem.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Your TIVO should be fine.

I expect with the older hardware (assuming you did not buy it recently) it will ignore the broadcast flag and continue to function.

I purchased a HD-TV card (even though I do not have a HD-TV yet), for my mythtv box so if/when the law goes into effect my systems will still be able to record shows when I want.
