Anyone here know of a recent source for linux drivers for these soundcard/modem combos? www.linuxant.com
has some, but they were last updated in 2003.

The FIRST step towards finding a Linux driver is identifying the modem's CHIPSET. The scanModem tool will help you. Please download and run the scanModem tool before sending any query to discu***linmodems.org. The chipset will be recognized and cogent updated knowledge and URLs written out. The manufacturer brand with model number are generally NOT informative in this regard. Modems from a single manufacturer can have different chips. But your documentation may have this critical information, so read it carefully. For PCI card modems, a database can be searched. A broader database is also available. Controller based modems utilize the "standard" serial drivers, while the winmodems in most newer PCs and laptops require their own drivers. General information on these issues is available at the Linmodem-Howto. Only after your chipset has been identified, should help on configuration & installation issues can be sought from the mailing list discu***linmodems.org, with archives , wherein discussions are many issues reside.

The early full functional drivers that used to be free might be what you want. There are drivers with less speed still available for free.I have a copy of the old ones filed away somewhere.I think the full speed drivers now cost something.I'll see if I can locate the name of the drivers and if they are posted for download anywhere.

What HerrGlock and DC said.

I actually use the hsflinmodem-5.03.27.tar.gz (http://www.mylinux.ro/download/modem/hsflinmodem-5.03.27.tar.gz) for mine and it allows full speed connectivity. If you find that you have a different type of modem, just do some Google searches for the older, free drivers and they'll likely turn up.

I have got the modem working, but I am not able to find drivers for the doggone SOUNDCARD that work. I can't get the www.linuxant.com drivers for the soundcard to install.

WASH DC:

I had not seen the Fedora Core 1 drivers on www.linuxant.com before. I am running Fedora Core 3 with 2.6.11-1.14_FC3 kernel. Will the Fedora Core 1 drivers work?

I think the OSS support has been phased out of the kernel.Or at least is being phased out.I'm not sure there is any ALSA support for your sound yet.
