Maybe someone can help me.
My Father is failing in health. We borrowed his Browning BDM .380 pistol and took it to the range. When we returned, he said he would clean it. Two weeks later we notice it still hasn't been cleaned so we get it out and follow the instructions on dis-assembly and clean the pistol. So we put it back together, per the owner's manual. We got the slide on, but it won't slide far enough back to engage the slide stop. So we take it apart and repeat. Same thing. He has no clue what we are doing wrong.
So the pistol is put together, but the slide won't go all the way back. Does anyone have a clue what we are doing wrong?
I am thinking of taking the thing to a local gunsmith as a last resort.
