help need walther p22 barrel

i purchased a walther p22 with the 5" barrel but need the 3.42" barrel so i can get a can for this thing. any reasonable places to get one of these? i was told $110 from the shop i got the p22 from and #295 for the gemtech can and another $60 for the thread adapter. HELP

Why can't you put a can on the 5" barrel?

with the comp/weight on the end the adapter will not screw on all the way. the guy at the local gun shop said it was not going on all thew way. he took a adapter and can off another p22 w/ the shorter barrel. that is why i am looking for the shorter barrel or info on useing the longer barrel. thanks, glocktoys

Interesting. I was looking at mine with both barrels, and didnt see any differences. I guess yours is a little different.

Try searching ebay for 'walther p22' and you should find some at a fair price. I've seen them going recently for under 100$.
