Brought my G17 and my BUL M5 1911 .45acp to the range a couple of days ago and did some accuracy testing with the two guns. It was my third time to use the G17 and the 1911 has been my range and carry gun for the last 4 years. The targets were set at 1 inch at 3mtrs., 1 1/2 inches at 4 mtrs., 2 inches at 5 mtrs., 2 1/2 inches at 6 mtrs. and 3 inches at 7 mtrs. The drill was string of 3 consecutive 1 draw 1 shot per set distance without being able to progress to the next distance without achieving the 3 consecutive hits then a string of 3 1 draw 2 shots again without progressing to the next distance without achieving 3 consecutive double hits. I brought 100 rounds for each gun. With the G17 I finished the test with about 70 rounds used. With the 1911 I did not finish the test cause I have already used up the 100 rounds. Conclusion welcome new range and carry gun "G17". ( Both guns were stock )
