Pretty self explanatory!

We just got this in last month and we go in service on June 26th, 2005. It is a 2005 E-450 form Lifeline. Good quality stuff!

That's nice. Our newest engine is in my sigline. Unless New Lexington has moved the images.....

Our new "Salvage" is an Expedition. 2002 model. May be performing other duties at some point in the future.....

That's pretty impressive. Why did you get 4wd? It looks almost like a wildfire engine. Because of snow?

Nice looking truck! Lifeline builds a nice unit, they'll probably be the one's building our next ambulance.

That LED lightbar looks like it's probably pretty impressive when lighting up the night.

This unit is actually a bit bigger than the majority of the ones we run. This is one of those super-wide boxes with the stretcher in the middle of the box. Most of ours have the stretcher alongside the left wall (but they aren't Type II vans).

What make and model of helo is that? I forget what kind they fly around CT, but they don't look like that (unless they've gotten new ones recently).

That's an American Eurocopter EC135. :)

gruntmedik

Aggie is correct--Eurocopter EC-135 P2. I believe LifeStar there in CT uses BK-117's.

Let me tell ya, lay of the accelerator on them E450's. Going down the interstate and I punched it going up a hill. I am used to a old 1990 Ford diesel with no turbo, that would only go 70, DOWNHILL and with a tail wind. Got to the top of the hill, Chief looks over and says "You might want to slow down a little bit!" I look down, and about crapped my pants. I won't say how fast we were going, but no ambulance should ever go that fast. You couldn't even tell, the ride is so smooth!
