What happened to the Maks that were supposed to come into US like Sept or Oct. of last year?
The riff was there was supposed to be a boatload of Maks coming from Bulgaria.
It was said they were the nicest lot to hit the US.
What gives???

Wow, that sucks. Does this mean the end of inexpensive Makarovs?? Or maybe the end of Makarovs (being imported) altogether for a time??

FWIW--Awhile back I asked the guys at a big dealer nationwide, they told me it was the dollar versus Euro thing that had been the problem with the importations. In other words the importers weren't getting enough profit.

Man, I hope not. I've been wantin to get a couple more so I can have 1 or 2 to mess with by throwing some aftermarket stuff on it, and still keep one original. One of the fun things about the Mak is that it's inexpensive... lets hope that many more shipments find their way to our shores.

For years I've been expecting the supply to dry up and the price to go out of sight.
If it wasn't for the Bulgarian Maks being imported when the Russian import was stopped the price of the E. German and Russian guns would be out of sight now.

Buy them while you can.;)
