We got this new movie theater in town here that is awesome; 12 screens, stadium seating, high-backed seats that rock, cushioned armrest with cupholders that folds up out of the way, etc.
However when I try to get movie viewing times off of their webby I get "Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames."
Have tried to view in both Netscape and IE with the same results.
This is the first time I have ever come accross this.
I suspect that I have a setting either enable or disabled for both browsers to block inline frames.
Can anybody help me here?
M.

Based upon descriptions of what inline frames are, best I can tell the movie theater site is the where the problem lies.
In other words, based upon what I have read I have viewed inline frames with no problems elsewhere.
With that said can somebody direct me to a site where there is a definite inline frame so I can be sure?

Inline frames are also called floating frames. You can find an example here

http://www.chami.com/tips/internet/012497I.html

it's the scrolling window on that page.

Thanks D.C.
Was able to view the scrollable window no problemo.
The site I'm having problems with is www.epictheaters.com . Perhaps you can go there and see if you can see the movie viewing times.

Very interesting!
Apparently I can view some inline frames but not all.
I wonder what gives.;Q

A lot of websites use the stuff that works for a certain version of IE or something like that instead of using the true HTML standards. Microsoft often does not follow the standards (for some somewhat understandable reasons) and therefore things that use the standards will sometimes not work in IE or other browsers. I was using Firefox to view the webpage. As a side note, I just tried IE and it worked for me (version 6.0.28)

The IE version I have is actually 6.0.2900.xxxxsp2, so technically I have a newer version yet I still can't view the showtimes.
Me wonders whether a setting on my system is preventing the inline frame to be viewed, possibly something in either the virus scan, firewall, antispam and the multitudes of crap we need to protect ourselves from unscrupplous folks.
Any clues folks?

If anybody is interested I got my current problem worked out.
Apparently the inline frame met the criteria for 3rd party ads and McAfee Privacy Service blocked it.;Q
Unchecked the "Block ads on this computer" box and now I can view the showtimes for my locality.
Now I suppose we'll see ads ;Q but I'm thinking the individual browsers have their own ad blocking feature so I should be good to go!

Yeah right.;Q
