Wondering if anybody here greases there slide rails or just use gun oil. I noticed they come with a white grease on them but was told it was meant for shipping not to lubricate the rails. What brands do you use?

Nope, no grease at all. I usually just put a thin coat of MilTech on each of the contact points (slide rails). The white grease is just on there for initial break in just like Glock and their gold anit-sieze. Once it is worn off, use standard oil in small amounts and you'll be all good. --ST

I use BreakFree CLP on pretty much everything and have no complaints with it.

I use CLP on all my firearms also.

I just use a very light coating of standard gun oil. Tetra gun grease gets used on certain guns and would probably be good on your Beretta. I also used engine oil once (straight from the dipstick) when I HAD to have oil and nothing else was available. Worked great!

I just use cheapo Hoppe's 9 on all the contact/wear points, including slide rails. After cleaning all of the old grease out of a Mauser from 1944 I have a slight aversion to it. ;f

Lately I've been using Mobile 1 on the slide and frame rails of my berettas and 1911's.. ;a

Before that I was using Slide-Glide #1 from Brian Enos... That's pretty cool stuff.. ;a

I have used Militec grease on my Beretta and other guns, but I find that it collects dirt and soot too easily. I switched to a competition grade lube called Gun Butter and haven't looked back.

I tried a lot of exotic oils on my pistols. Later found out that Mobil 1 5W30 works as fine. However, I still use Break-Free on my AR. 3 in One or WD-40 would work okay when everything's not available.

I do use grease on rails and also on the locking block, sear-hammer and other places that I can reach. I prefer it to oil since it will not run but stay put.
I also use grease on Sig, Taurus and even Glock.

I use combination of Rem Oil and synthetic oil on my Beretta - flawless operation for over 6 years of service.

Me too...I do use gun breakfree clp in most areas and grease on the slide. Some guns get greas in other spots too--I use Militec...

The only problem I know w/ using Mobil 1 is that it doesn't offer corresion protection like true gun products...Lubes great though
