I have read the bulb and the luments (SP?) and it seems to be the same as the surefire E2E( I think thats the one) Its just a different name brand. Again, I am looking for a very white, blinding light.

I trust the website because I have ordered from them before.

there is also another on the site that has the xenon and a 9 LED in the same flashlight. I don't know why one would want both if the xenon is brighter.

POS
You're paying for the Smith & Wesson name and nothing more. The light itself is worth no more than $10. If its not a gun and it has the Smith & Wesson name on it you can be assured that it is crap.
Get a surefire light and dont look back.

I dont' know about spending 75 bucks on a flashlight though.
I suggest you browse the site alittle more then. There are Surefire lights that cost around $40-$50.

A G2 can be had for $30
If you are looking for a quality inexpensive high lumen light, go to Walmart and look for the Brinkman in the same configuration as the S&W light you are looking at. It only cost $19.99 and is considerably brighter than my D Cell Maglight, and is comparable to my Nitrolon. It is a much better quality light than the cheaper SureFires for sure. I would rate it at 60+ lumens. The other cool thing it has that the SureFire doesnt is that it is rubberized and it does come with lithium batteries. It is about the best $20 you can spend. I have 5 of them and I am not so worried that they are going to get lost or stolen like my high dollar Surefire. It is only a matter of time before SureFire falls on its own overpriced weight.

You get what you pay for plain and simple. There is a reason you see Surefires mounted on rifles in Iraq. They are very high quality. How do you consider anything that may save your life overpriced. When it comes to buying these things price is the last thing I think about.

Get a surefire L4
It's a 5 watt digitally regulated Luxeon V, that produces 60 lumens.
Xenon bulbs gradually dim and suck down batteries, plus they frequently burn-out or the filament will break if you drop it. LEDs last forever.

Review of L4 (http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/surefire_l4.htm)
Review of Brinkman (http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/brinkmann_maxfirelx.htm)
The Brinkman isn't digitally regulated so it will gradually dim. The Surefire is more efficient.
