Starting yesterday whenver I'm listeng to music or watching a video with WMP10 and exit the program, the program goes away but the sountrack/music keeps on playing even though the program is gone. I have to load up WMP and hit STOP to get it to stop them exit the program all over again.

What gives?

it may be an audio driver issue.

Hmmm.. I could reinstall my audio drivers......

Note: when I open up WMP to hit stop, it's as if I never X'd out of it in the first place. The little bar is still scrolling and the songs que like they should.

Wierd.

Come to think of it, there's very little I don't like about WMP10, besdies the keeps-playing thingy. I keeps all my music sorted and filed away and has little icons of the album art on the folders. I ust it exclusevly to rip/burn. I guess I shouldn't complain right?

I don't see how this could be an audio driver issue.

Are you sure WinMP10 isn't docking,or running in the background?.... Doesn't make much sense.

I'd use iTunes.

You may not gain much by updating.WMP 9 might have some more features. Some people find more conflicts and problems with WMP 9 and even more with WMP 10.I noticed updating from WMP 9 to WMP 10 that I lost being able to save media streams. Now Microsoft has made that a seperate program or add-on.

I got an alert to upgrtade to WMP10 a few days or weeks ago. Now my *(^*%&*&T% audio drivers unistall themselfs every day. I have to system restore to reinstall because I can't find the program anywhere after it installs. I figured it had to do with my recent download on WMP10. I am starting to feel this is true.

When you hit the X to exit, is it just minimizing itself instead of actually closing?
