I ordered a Tucker’s Texas Heritage for my PM9 about a year ago, I never used it because at the time I took some calipers to it and it didn’t seem all that much thinner than a G27 in a UCR. So it sat in it’s box and I planned on selling it “one day when I got around to it”
Yesterday morning I was perusing the “Carry Issues” thread, and I was reading all the wonderful rants and raves about the Tucker “Answer” holster so I figured what the heck I might as well try the Heritage with a PM9.
So I wore it around the house and while running some errands all day with shorts and an un-tucked t-shirt. I was so impressed I ordered one of Tuckers Bullhide belts with a Velcro lining and some Velcro clip attachments. At the top part of the holster and gun it really isn’t that much thinner then the G27 with the UCR, but the grip is so much thinner…this is what makes it so much more concealable, and leather versus Kydex against bare skin is so much more comfortable. Sweat isn’t a problem for me in the arid southwest.
The Heritage is very similar to a C-Tac but is made of leather rather then Kydex, it seems to be somewhat similar to a Milt Sparks VM
It’s adjustable, has numerous clip styles and is tuck able and it really pulls the little gun in tight and the leather is comfortable even against bare skin. I’m sure it will break in and become even more comfortable with wear.
I was considering a Fist K-8 which I’m sure is a fine holster, but perhaps I found my “answer” to IWB for a PM9 in the Heritage.
I paid around $90.00 a year ago and service was fast, check out the Bullhide belt with the sewn in Velcro.
