www.newegg.com is another good company to buy from. Here are a few suggestions:

With memory prices so low these days, I canít see you having to pay more than $100 (including shipping) for a gig of RAM. One thing that I have noticed is that it is cheaper to buy 2 sticks of 512MB instead of just a stick of 1GB, and depending on the motherboard chipset, it is better to run your memory in dual channel.

what do you mean dual channel?

Some motherboards support dual channel memory. If your memory is running in dual channel you will get double (theoretically) the memory bandwidth versus having that same mobo running in single channel. For instance if you have a mobo that supports dual channel, and you install a stick of 512MB into one of the memory banks, it will be running in single channel and the maximum memory bandwidth is 3.2GB/s. IfF you install 2 sticks of 256MB (one in each memory bank) you will have a maximum memory bandwidth of 6.4GB/s.

What brand/model board are you going to be installing this memory in?
