Can you guys recommend a weight and bullet for deer hunting for the 25.06. I am not much into Nosler BT's or partitions. Any others that you think are worthy. Also did any of you use the 165 grain SST in a 30.06 last deer season. What were your results with it. Thanks Esox357

I would think any good 120 grain soft-point from a reputable manufacture should work fine. Even though there are some as light as 100 grains that would work fine, I think the .25-06 makes the best use of 120 grain bullets for deer size game.

Sierra's Game King in that weight has always worked well on deer size game for me. And I have used Hornady's Interlock as well as several from Nosler with good success. But in truth it would probably be pretty hard to find a "bad" 120 grain softpoint from the .25-06 on deer.

If you have a preference and it shoots well from your rifle, use it with confidence!
