I have a Beretta M21 A question and problem. I am thinking of purchasing a used 21 A in .25 acp from a friend. I was test firing it today at the range with a mix of ammo. It was very reliable with all types of ammo and did not experience any FTE or FTF's. That's the good news. The bad news is after 75 rounds the pin that holds the pop-up barrel to the frame began to "walk" out from left to right. The pin is now protruding quite a bit from the right of the frame. I did not want to attempt to re-position the pin because I want to show it to my friend. The question is: Is this a common problem? Can it be easily fixed by removing the pin and then attempting to re-insert? Should I pass on this gun??? Any info would be appreciated!

well it depends on the price i have a tomcat 21 in a 22 model that did the same thing(50 rounds she got warm) after taking out the pin and cleaning all the oil off it and reinstalling it i have not had any problems i dont know if it did that because there was too much oil on it or if i got her too hot. they are great little guns and not that 75 rounds is alot but if u did it round after round there might have been a heat factor that might have expanded things since its a fixed barrel and really ment for a carry gun and not a target pistol i bet it did get alittle heat in it losening the pin. this is just a thought.

Wayne:

Thanks for the info. I returned the gun to my friend and he is going to send it back to Beretta for service/repair. If it is fixed I will buy it. Just seems like it could be problematic down the road. Thanks!
