Help with new PM9

Hey everyone,

I've got a quick question and for some reason I cannot use the search function to find the answer, so here goes.

My new PM9 should be here tommorow, hopefully before the range closes so I can go run some rounds through it.

What things can I do to improve function and reliability?
I've seen responses on the board about polishing the feed ramp, deburring the frame, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Clean it, lube it, and take it to the range!!
I would also buy 200 rounds of Winchester White Box 115gr hard ball at Wallyworld on your way!! :)

Exactly what Denfoote said, but i will add this.

When you first get it and take it apart for cleaning note the spring assembly and the way it is and the way it goes in (which end). It is extreamly important. Sometimes people get the Kahrs and they take them apart and clean them and then put the spring in wrong and it has problems after problems.

Just be careful when disassembly / reassembly.

To make sure everyone knows, how exactly do you know which is the right orientation for the spring?

Yes but make real sure the SPRING is the right end to where on the rod.

oh yes. The part that isn't coiled closely goes towards the muzzle end.
