I decided a few weeks ago I had too many polymer guns and NO metal frame guns! I decided I was going to get a 1911 (had one once, and I liked it, but I sold it for financial reasons years ago). Well, this morning I picked out a Kimber Classic Stainless. It has the internal extractor, and I believe it has had some trigger work done. Other than that I was hard pressed to tell it was used. It came with three 7 round mags with bumpers (I will have some Wilsons ordered very soon).
Anyway, I picked it up this morning and went right to the range. I put 300 rounds through it without a single hic-up! My very first shot was at a bowling pin at about 40 yards, and I sent the pin spinning! The rest of the rounds were just as accurate. The trigger has a very short reset, and no creep. When I got home I spent about 1 1/2 hours slowly cleaning it up (after my range session) and carefully examining every inch of it. I don't think it was shot much before me, if ever. Either way, I'm in love, and have a metal framed handgun again, and it won't get any rest in my family! I'm heading to the range again tomorrow!
Just wanted to share,
Kory.
