A few days ago,a buddy of mine had a 1911 a guy was trying to sell to him.We was giving it a good look over.It had an Essex frame (polished),blued Colt 80 series slide,no name barrel,worst trigger I ever felt on a 1911,the slide release wouldn't come out and was broke somewhere in between.On top of all that,the guy was trying to sell it for $800 as a true Colt.My buddy declined.
