View Full Version : G26 12-round magazines
Being committed to the Glock 9mm in G17 as THE self-defense/duty weapon, I am now looking at a G26 for times when smaller is necessary. Are the 12-round magazines reliable? I never see them in a store, and don't know anyone who carries them, but do see them on the Lone Wolf site.
I bought a G26 to compliment my G17 and added the factory plus 2's to the magazines. I have not had any problems with either magazines and the extra room for the pinky is nice. Can't hurt to try them out.

cppo, someone more knowledgeable than I has said to get the factory Glock extensions for the G26. Hopefully the ones in the know will advise here. I put the +0 Pearce adapters on my G26 and really like the way they feel.

Thats all I carry in my 26 is the 12 round mags. They work fine. But like all my Glock mags I down load them by 1 round to preserve spring life and reliability. I have had too many Glock mags go bad in the past. I was told to try this method and now the mags seem to last forever.

355sigfan, I do exactly the same thing with all double-stack Glock mags....

When I brought my 26 they had 2 12 shot mags and I thought I was lucky until he took them out and put in the 10 shot. And I can't find any of them nowhere and I dont want the ext. I have a 15 shot that I use sometimes. If you find some originals let me know.http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a307/glock26daddy/grolex.jpg

I have several that I picked up from LWD (http://www.lonewolfdist.com) they work great. The only thing when CCW with the 12rd in the G26 is now it's the size of my G19. You could always just buy the factory +2s and put them on your mags.

ALL 12 round G26 Factory mags are just G26 10 round mags with a factory +2 ext. You can use either # 7151 2 piece ext or the older # 1967 1 piece ext. You do not need to change mag springs as G26 springs are same as G19.
smoke, you read my mind before I posted. Good to know that the 26 springs are same as 19--seems no reason to need different springs, since they are already under extra compression.

Thanks for the info I thought they had an actual 12 round mag but since it's the 10 with an ext. I'll keep what I have.:soap:

My gun dealer sale the mags as 12 rounders (10 round mag with +2 Glock extensions). They cost the same as the the other mags. They function like all Glock mags.

The 26 with the new +2 extensions (or 12 rd. mags) is still shorter than a Glock 19. Not much, but shorter...

I bought a third 10-round mag with my G26, and added Pearce +0 pinky extensions. Could have had +1s for the same price, but I heard about a few bad experiences here with +2s.
If you want 12-round G26 mags, try botach.com. I have heard a few horror stories in the past, but it sounds like they cleaned their act up. I believe they sell 'em for $16 each.
I agree with Pat about downloading a G26 mag by one round, but I download my other full-size mags by 2 rounds. To each their own.
EDIT:
D'OH! Those sneaky rascals! They have done went and lowered their prices, gull durn it! They're sellin' them thar 12-round G26 mags fer $15 each!
