I have had my cw9 for about a month now. I have put about three hundred rounds throught it with no problems it shoots great. The differance is the p9 has a polygonal barrel compared to conventional rifling in the cw9 also the p9 comes with two mags instead of one.The p9 has a little more work done on the slide then the cw9 and also the front sight on the p9 has a dovetail cut where the cw9's front sight is staked in place. The p9 seems to be about $130.00 dollars more then the cw9 around here anyway.
For a review of the CW9 check out the latest edition of "Combat Handguns"
Enjoy :)

So BikerRn are you going to leave me hanging. I don't have this issue of combat handguns. I am interested in what they had to say about the CW9 being a CW9 owner. Do you think you can fill me in on what they had to say briefly.From one handgunner to another

I have that issue, not too much info in it. I wanted some real world feedback.

Maine;
Basically the article said it was a good little gun at a reduced price of the PM9.
It compared the CW9 to the PM9 in price and then went on to compare the CW9 to the P9, from which the CW9 is derived from.It was a pretty good article, but you know they don't often slam any handgun in a handgun magazine so they don't lose advertising dollars.
I don't think one can go worng with the CW9, just remember to keep it lubed, like any Kahr, and enjoy shooting it. It is the size that will be with you when the Ubberpistol is at home in the safe.

“The main differences are that the CW9 has conventional rifling, instead of match grade polygonal rifling; the CW9 has a MIM (metal-injection-molded) slide stop lever, instead of a machined slide stop lever; the CW9 cannot be retrofitted with night sights because the slide does not have a front dovetail cut; the CW9 slide has less machining operations; and the CW9 has simple engraving on the slide instead of rollmarking; and the CW9 is shipped with one magazine instead of two.”
