Not for that price.
How about a Glock 20 or a S&W 1006? They are not 1911s, but at least they are reliable 10mm...

MAYBE if you got a 10mm upper (slide, slide parts & barrel).
I think Dan Wesson is the only maker currently producing 10mm 1911's. Unless you go custom, and that will cost you bigger bucks.

The closest thing that I know of in your price range would be a Witness 10mm. Not exactly a 1911 but it is well made and you can carry cocked and locked.

10mm 1911s in that price range are gonna be the ones made of "unobtanium" ;f. If you want to spend as little as possible for a production 10mm 1911, you might want to check out a used Colt Delta Elite. They are discontinued, but they're out there used for sale. As mentioned, Dan Wesson makes them, but I don't know if they are still going to be produced now after the CZ merge. Kimber also makes 10mm 1911s. Bottom line, you're gonna pay more than you would on a glock 10mm.

There are no production or discontinued 1911s in 10mm that you can get for <$500. Kimber and Dan Wesson have current production 10s, but they are $800 or so.
Used Delta Elites are $700+.
The Glock 20 is around $500, but that's not 1911. EAA has the Witness 10mm but I don't endorse them because their people and customer service suck.
Auto Ordnance made a 10 for a while but I've never seen one.
FYI--CZ-WEsson IS making 10mm for current production. The 10mm CBOB (bobtail frame) and a Pointman in 10mm,IIRC.
In the past 9 months, I have found a blue Delta, like brand new, for 600.00 (thanks to my shootin partner). I have also found a SS Delta that could not have had 200 rounds thru it for 750.00. Look around for a Delta. Great shooter, plus it will increase in value, if you take care of it.....BTW, CZWesson 10mm's have had a criminal price increase of late, have they not?

Don't forget the two I have found a SS delta for $799 and a SS Delta Gold cup $1000 all had boxes and extra mags....There out there and they can be had for a good price.;f

I was looking for a trail sidearm in 10mm and the best deal I found was the Glock20. According to this months American Rifleman, Dan Wesson will have two 10mm models released later this year.
Adios,
Bob
Bob,
DW has had 10mm 1911's in production for quite awhile. The prices have just recently gone way up after CZ aquired DW. Luckily I got my 45 DW before the prices spiked.
