View Full Version : Colt's smallest 1911?
I saw (in an old magazine) a pic of a Colt .45 ACP Officer model 1911. I think it has a 3.5" Barrell.
Anyone have a link to Colt's site - preferable a link to this pistol???
Link to Colt's smallest .45 - if different from above?
Thanks
The colt defender has a 3" barrel
I looked up the Colt Defender - Looks good.
Anyone know it's rep? Good or problems?
Anyone here actually own one - ever shot one?

ArmyCop -
I have owned a few Officers ACP's over the years. They have a 3.5" barrel as you stated and also have a shorter grip than the government or commander. They are really nice pistols but Colt quit making them. You should be able to find a good used one if you keep an eye out for them. Also, hello from a fellow Military Policeman, 1979-1999. :)
I t might not be very scientific...but the defender usually has the least amout of complaints that one would read about on the internet...in fact usually owners really like them

Who's got em in stock? My dealer said Colt's busy with Gov contracts and almost impossible to get.
