Less than 2,000 rounds!
The end of the firing pin fell out of the slide. I thought it was a broken pin and searched for the other end. Yes, I did not find it. I discovered the problem at the range: rack the slide and no bang. Again, rack the slide; no bang. My friend who was attempting to fire the pistol gave me a wierd look like "uh no bang, what's the problem?" This is the same friend who told me: "The Steyr experiment was good to do, but it is time to get rid of them and come back to Glock."
His arguement is starting to make sense.
The firing pin was broken half way along the smaller forward protrusion from the "cone". I need to add this part to the extractor plunger tube for my S9 that I think causes type II malfunctions.
Speaking of parts, where can I get them? ;Q
