aftermarket barrel for hot DP loads, or not necessary

I will shortly be acquiring a Glock 20 and already I have mangaged to make (or purchased the parts to make) what I would consider to be upgrades. I have ordered a 22# recoil spring with full metal, non-captured guide rod and I have had Mepros installed. Well, now I am seriously considering getting an aftermarket barrel for it, if for no other reason than to be able to re-use my cases for reloading (once I am ready for it...soon). And I don't like the potential KB's everybody has heard of in the more powerful rounds for which Glock offers many different models. I plan on using A LOT of Doubletap (10mm, of course)

I wonder if I am just being paranoid. Should I just trust the stock barrel, with its lack of suppport at the 6? Please tell me your experience. I should mention that I purchased my G23 some years ago and one of the first things I did on it was to replace the barrel with a Bar-Sto. I like it alot and wonder if it is just as worth it for my G20.

my stock barrels shoot doubletap fine and allow reloading the case

i do have a g21 - 10mm barrel 6" long for more nuclear loads lol

How often can you re-use the brass? Mr. McNett recommended not going over three or four times (I don't remember the exact number he said) with re-using brass in stock barrels. He said that if I used a BarSto or some similar aftermarket barrel, I could go like 20 times with the brass.

I'm on 25 reloadings at a moderate(550ft#) power. Started with approx 160 cases and am down to less than 50 cases but I've retired them at the slightest hint of anything. All shot from a stock G29.
They are REALLY beat all to hell.

I could not shoot hot loads out of my stock barrel, and be able to reuse the brass. It left a serious buldge at the 6:00 position, and when resized the buldge line still showed. That indicated a stress point to me, and it was not worth a KB. I bought a federal barrel, and it is a lot better, but a MAX loads it shows a slight buldge line. Lowering the load .02 grains and its ok. I here the barstow barrel are fully supported.
