Does anyone have any recommendations for software that will image the 40gb hard drive in my Dell Laptop running Windows XP sp2?

I have read reviews on:

Norton Ghost 9.0

Acronis True Image 8.0

and a couple of others. Most of the reviews are mixed, either it worked great or didn't work at all, and support was not good.

I have a 60gb external USB hard drive that came with Retrospect software but was not too impressed with the results.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

I like Acronis True Image. As a matter of fact, I just got through cloning a 40GB hard drive to an 80GB hard drive about 30 minutes ago. The 40GB was full and the entire process took about 20 minutes from start to finish.

Appreciate the info. Was anyone able to restore the image from a USB drive and create a new bootable hard drive on the original machine?
