Im thinking about a G38 45GAP. Anyone like to share opinoins/pros/cons on that model and the 45GAP in general. No one in my shooting circle has one yet, and Im certainly not familiar with the round. I was also wandering why the G37, G38, are not offered in hi-cap??????????????????;Y

It's kind of like a fine wine. I haven't tasted it yet, but I'm really anxious to see what my first taste is going to be like. I have a G32, and I think I'll like the G38 just as much,if not more.

You can't pour a quart in a pint pot (the 9mm-sized magazines are maxed out with 10, 8, and 6 fat .45 rounds).

gary;
Am I assuming properly that the G37/38 are the same frame was the 9mm
sized guns? My G21 holds 13 rounds.

I'm not Gary, but you're correct. 37/38/39 are 17/19/26 frames. ^c
As to your request for feedback... My G38 came to me because I love my G21, but the G30 didn't feel right in my hand and the 19 is my other favorite frame size. What a marriage; I absolutely love this gun. It gives me a very naturally-pointing G19-size gun with 8+1 of 185, 200, or 230gr Premium .45 ammo from one of several makers. A G37 mag with the 7151 baseplate on it gives me another 11. It is just one of those packages IMO that makes even more sense than the G37. Don't know what else to say; it's just, for me, the right collection of parts in one package. Very pleased with it. :)

Well WIG, youve just about convinced me to get a G38. I really like the Glock compacts, (19,23,32) They work pretty well for me. Thanks for the imput

The G38 is my most accurate Glock, and I've owned Many Glocks during the last 9 years.

DannyR,
What types of ammo work the best in your G38, and have you used reloads in it yet????????;Q
I prefer Speer 200-gr FMJ for factory practice ammo and reload 200-gr FMJ's with Titegroup and Federal Primers for competition. I choose Cor-Bon 185-gr JHP's for my defensive round. I also use Ameriglo black fixed target sights, a 3.5# factory connector and #7151 factory extended bases on both my G37 and G38 magazines. A Blade-Tech holster is on the way, OWB, Straight Drop with Speed cut.
Glock/GSSF was kind enough to reserve serial number 001 for me.:cool:

I have had a problem with my G32 shooting S&B 357sig ammo. All others shoot good, but the S&B stuff seems to have hard primers (see my post on S&B 357sig dated 07/23/04) Ive heard that I can put an extra power firing pin spring in it and cure the problem. Do you think this is true, and is it something I can do myself?;Q
Thanks
k.d.
I have the G37, G38 and G39. I actually love the G38 and G39. If I had to make a choice on which one I would keep if I could only keep one. I would choose the G38 for sure! It is the perfect size for me in just the right package!!!!!
