View Full Version : 92 Brigadier?
Co-worker has a Brig 92 unfired, stainless steel finish.
Is that a good shooter with its longer sight radius and heavier slide?
Anything I should be aware of?
Is it a good buy?
what price?

Stainless Brig is a fantastic gun. I wouldn't give more than $500 and that's only in brand new condition w/o a scratch. There are no issues with Brigs at all and it should serve you well for years to come. --ST
Offer $450?
did they come with hi caps or 10-round mags?

$450 isn't unreasonable, but be prepared to go to 5 if you really want it. It depends when he bought it new as to what mags it will come with. Personally, I don't count mags with the price of the gun unless there are a butt-load of them. NIW 15s from MDS or Beretta are around $30 a piece and Mec-Gar are about $20, so if you do get it for $450 you'd be in good shape even if you do have to buy the mags seperate. Another + is if you decide to shoot IDPA, you'll have 10s to shoot it with. --ST

Good gun. I have one, I love it!
If it is a bit older all Inox (Stainless) you might get one without the new plastic parts, in which case if it is new it would be worth more then a NEW one, provided that it is NIB.

Just looked at this 92 FS and it is new.
Qeustion is, how do I know it's a brig?
I looked all over the Net and it does not seem that they stamped it on the slide.
I read that the Brigs have a dovetailed front sight.
How can I distringuish them?
As to accuracy, what are you guys getting at 25 yards?

Brigs have a thicker slide. Go look on the official BerettaUSA website. You will notice the difference in the slide from the standard version.
Out of all the guns I have owned, the beretta 92fs brig is my all time favorite. I plan to pick another one up soon. Just a sweet shooting, sweet looking pistol. I had it in stainless as well. Great weapon.

Here's a picture of my 96 brig inox. You'll see the slide has a "thick or hump" area near the breach and the front sight is black, it is removable vs. an non brig the front sight is cast into the slide.
Hope that helps.
