Is anyone using the Federal .40s&w conversion bbl for a G20?
I don't expect it to be a match barrel, but is it ok for a plink/practice option? I see that it's only $70, and that's in my price range to make practice cheaper/easier.
Thanks!
I picked one up and like it a lot. The only thing I don't like is that it's not markes .40 so I'll have to mark it when I pick up a .357 and/or 9x25. Pick one up and give it a try I think you like it and it's relatively inexpensive compared to Bar-Sto or KKM
Great bbl for the $. More accurate than the stock bbl, in my opinion.
Haven't fired mine yet!

My barrel works great. Its reliable and accurate. Money well spent. As much as I like the 10mm, I probably would have dumped the only one I have (G20), because the practice ammo is really hard to find in Miami and if you do its expensive. I've really don't need a 10mm, its just a fun gun my son wanted. But its not much fun if you can't find ammo for it or have to always order from the web.
The conversion barrel works great, saves me money and lets me buy pracice ammo at any range I happen to be at.

Thanks for the info!
When my budget allows, I think I'll pick one up.
Get the 357Sig barrel as well. It's nice to have 3 or 4 (if you go nuts and get a 9X25) options from one gun.
The only problem I've ever had is that they get damn hot and I don't want to wait to switch em out. Ouch, ouch, bang..... :)
start reloading, feeb lite [180 at 900-950] equal 40 cal without a new barrel
federal and others make lite loads which can be mail ordered from like ammoman/etc

I do. I'd just rather shoot cheap factory ammo than spend all of my time reloading. Even on my piggy-back RCBS it takes a while, unless I want a bunch of f-d up ammo that I've rushed through to make.
10Lite is still more $ than .40S&W
I'd like to get into reloading just for fun but even if I did I think I'd still have other barrels for the G20. It's just a great platform to shoot multiple calibers out of. One gun but a variety of ammo.
I am quite happy with the .40 barrel and I am itching bad for .357sig.
