Wal-mart now sells Steyr. I think Steyr is based in Australia. Look under link they aren't selling AUGS but they are selling sniper rifles and/or bolt action rifles.

Steyr is from Austria just like Glock.
The STG 58 was the service rifle for may years , and is considered the best of the FAL rifle's other than a tru belgian FN.

Glock is from Australia? that reaks of BS. Berreta is from Italy but they make them in america. I think they say on there website that they are american.

However the australian army uses augs produced in australia by another company under license from steyr.
Saw a newscast report from an aussie tv network that was linked to somewhere about the new augs

went basicly...
"being produced here in this plant at <insert town name> (pan to big warehouse) under license from austrian armsmaker Steyr-Mannlicher"

was also a blurb in there about "and another similarly liscenced plant in Malaysia" which might account for people saing steyr moved production to malaysia.
