I have not seen anyone else mention owning an Elite 2000. I was just curious as to how many of them are out there.

The only Elites I am aware of are the "98" (I have one of these) and the "03"!!! I never heard of any Elite 2000 series...ever!! ;P

You know, what you might have there is the old "E" series, wherein the E stands for "ECONOMY"!!!!
The way to tell for certain is to flip your gun over to the other side. If it is an Elite model, the words "Elite XX will be laser engraved on the slide. To my certain knowlege, in the "MK" series, the Elites were all in stainless!!
Now, that being the case, you can convert yours to an Elite model. Cylinder and Slide will do the conversion. You can read about it HERE (https://shop.cylinder-slide.com/ccp51/cgi-bin/cp-app.pl?usr=act=&aff=&catstr=HOME:CP137&pg=ste_cat&ref=CP137).

It is an Elite 2000. Kahr's part number M9097A. According to Dottie at Kahr it is a discontinued model. I have emailed her back trying to get more info on the finish, she called it a "special paint". The only person I have found that has even heard of this model is on the pistolsmith.com forum. He says that the gun has a roguard finish and there were only about 80 of them made. I want to beleive him but I want to hear it from someone at Kahr before I take it as gospel. My reason for asking here is to see if someone else had ever heard of this model.

Yes they did make the Elite2000. There aren't not too many of them that I know of. I saw one at a gunshop in South Bend last year and were asking a decent price. Some folks at Kahr might know and then maybe not. As far as being Robar finished I would contact Robbie and ask him direct. Only way I can tell is seeing it in person not by pics.

I stand corrected!!
A Kahr I never even heard of!! ;P
Any Idea what the differences are between it and the E98???
The Elite models had a smoother, shorter trigger, although the trade off was that it was a tad heavier.
How's yours??
How does it shoot??

It shoots great. For a small pistol, I can put good groups together at 7yds. I would have to shoot other Kahr models to be able to comment on trigger pull. It is a longer pull than my Glock 22 but then I am comparing apples to bannanas with that comparison.

We had a poster here (that got invited to leave) who had a pdf file showing that the Elite 2000 moniker was a misnomer. As it appeared to B an Economy model. But your pics R the 1st that I've seen of the slide with the "Elite 2000" on it.
Did it come with 1 or 2 mags ?

2 mags, 1 6rd, one 7rd clip. It was a brand new gun.

According to Dottie at Kahr, there are only about 100 of these guns that were made. The finish is Roguard. It looks like I was able to pick up a sweet deal at a gun show.

It sound like it could be a collectors gun being only about 100 made, or is that just wishful thinking?

I think the MK9 is the finest pistol Kahr produces. I've carried an Elite 98 since it was first introduced. If these limited Elite 2000s are Roguard finished then this is a special edition to be sure.

Your comment makes me think it's not Roguard, which, by the way, is lifetime guaranteed...
Look at the NP3 and Roguard finishes at www.robarguns.com
If your thinking hard chrome, you might like the NP3 finish. There are benifits to chrome if I recall correctly. For instance there is enough lubricity in the finish that the gun can be run completely dry (not that it is recommended...).

Well, just so happens my father bought one of these last year NIB from a local dealer. It is marked Elite 2000 on the fram just forward of the serial number on the right side of the gun and has that same black finish. He bought it b/c he liked my plain jane MK9 stainless that I bought something like 5 years ago (it's one of the first 100 made) and didn't want to wait for the shop to order a stainless.
According to Dottie at Kahr, there are only about 100 of these guns that were made. The finish is Roguard.
I'm sure that will make my dad happy he paid something like $550 for it and thought he paid too much (there was an Elite 98 MK40 in the case for the same price, but he didn't want a .40). I think he's fired it less than 100 rounds.
