K-9 Birthdate

Hey fellow Kahr enthusiasts,

I recently got a sweet deal on a slightly used K9. It's in excellent condition and shoots great. I've noticed that it's made slightly different than the current K9's on Kahrs webpage. The new K9's have a slightly raised area on the receiver above the trigger and around both ends of the slide lock lever/pin. Mine does not have the raised area but is smooth. The serial number is AG XXXX. Does anyone know what year this K9 was manufactured, or how I can find out? I believe that it's an older model.

Call Dottie at Kahr and give her the S/N, she will be able to give you a manufacturing date. I don't have the number in front of me but it is available on the Kahr website. Her ext. is 331.
