is at it again. MSNBC reports she is starting an antiwar bus tour. Forgive my anger, but as a former F-4 pilot who served in SEA, I would like to see her publicly horsewhipped.^2
In fact, I volunteer!
skyboss_4evr 07-25-2005, 10:14 No need to forgive your anger Hawkman... it is placed squarely where it should be. If you get to horsewhip her, then you must let me tie her down. As a veteran myself, albeit younger generation, I am sickened by her very existence.

I am getting so sick and tired of both politicians and "stars". Both use the military as a political pawn and whipping boy in their never-ending quest for popularity and power. "We support the military but we don't support the war"...what utter horse manure. If you don't support the job the military is sent to do then you shut your d--n mouth until the job is done!!!
You don't like the job the military was sent to do? Vote your particular political hacks back into power then change the policy!!:soap: :soap: :soap: :soap:
jawjaboy 07-29-2005, 17:21 * her.
Count me in on any punishment.
Wouldn't it be nice if actors/actresses would quit insulting their audience. Hard for me to be entertained by a person who pisses all over us and then screams about being censured when we quit showing up at their films.

Cavalry Doc 08-07-2005, 09:59 Anyone know when and where this bus tour will be? Details seem to be hard to find on the net. Hope the (female dog) has dementia and is just imagining all of this. If not I hope she comes to Texas.
I'd suggest showing up and letting the public know how you feel. I'll be there. I'll also make sure I talk to as many reporters as possible and state why, although I believe in free speach, her actions have been treasonous in the past, and that current troops do not appreciate her in any way shape or form. Her and Kerry led the charge to have all of our Viet Nam Vets (including my father and several family members) branded as baby killers.

Now we know how sincere she was when she told the TV magazine shows that what she did over there was the biggest lapse of judgment of her life. Obviously it wasn't the last. She exists in her own vacuum. Discard her; she's baggage we don't need. Do not let her live in your head rent-free.

diver454 08-30-2005, 15:37 She's an insufferable ***** and why waste the hairs from the horse.
i say pack her ass in a burlap sack and drop her over the barren waste of Iraq and see what kind of an audience she gets.
wife rented a movie the other night called "monster in law." said it was alight comedy. so we're sitting down to watch when jane pops-up front and center. i look at her and slowly rise to walk out of the room. she knows exactly why but my wife is a God fearing woman of the highest order, with a heart the size of texas and in our family we forgive and forget no matter what.
she’s right, and that's the right thing to do.
but i can’t quite put my finger on why there is something about that snot nosed, arrogant, self righteous, traitor that rubs me wrong. so here we go again. “sure” i say “…why not forgive jane. bin laden, you’re forgiven too. what the heck adolf, you might as well hop on the band wagon. baby, light the grill we’re having a bbq this weekend and inviting ALL our friends. in fact next time rent an episode of "friends" with these three jerks holding hands singing kumbaya.”
yup, it was a cold night. and once again i’ll be dutifully in church this sunday asking forgiveness and praying in my heart-of-hearts to live the rest of my days in peace with all of mankind, including those select few contemptible, despicable abominations of humanity that just seem to rub me wrong.

But i still think she is a traitor for all vietnam vets and in all vets in general. Currenty in Iraq and i am hearing this uproar about Jane Fonda and i am still sickened by her actions of what she is doing know. What the hell does she think she is doing except destorying every solider name that was ever killed while in uniform. I currenty knew three of them and i am only 9 months into my rotation. Truth be told i wish she would just keep her mouth shut and let the military do there job. It a shame she does not realize that the death of heros gives her the right to open her mounth with her propaganda. Try saying those things to Cubas,Chinas Armys.

what she did was not dumb -- she is not a dumb person. what she did was well calculated treason, inhumanely aimed with cowardice at the sole remaining hope of a handful of fallen american heros that gave all they had and, in many cases, all they would ever have for you. photo ops of the crime scene have not context my confused friend, and for these acts of treason no one including jane has ever answered much less apologized.

Well glocksaregreat, I've read a number of your posts, reported some to the Moderators for your language, and generally find the remainder offensive.
Now you come to the Veterans Forum and with all your 20 years life experience tell us to chill out about Jane Fonda. She's probably one of your heroes. By the way, here's a gun similar to the one the young Ms. Fonda sat on...
http://fototime.com/F7667BC32511B53/standard.jpg
It is sitting in front of Tactical Unit Operations Center (TUOC) at NKP Royal Thai Air Base. Seems the NVA were using it to try and shoot down US aircraft. That pissed off the air crew members, so they killed the gunners. Some Laotian forces were near by and graciously hauled the gun out to a safe area where an American helicopter picked it up and brought it back to NKP.
All the air crew members participating in that fight were given one of the AAA rounds captured with the gun. One sits in my office at home. Yep, they were shooting at me and my pilot flying around in our little Cessna and it was the last thing they ever did.
No, most of us do not want to kill Jane Fonda. We would like her to truly experience what some friends of ours did while in captivity. Wouldn't have to be for long, probably 3-months of daily torture would be adequate.
Did she commit a crime? Yes she did. And, yes, there are those smarter than me who let her skate on those crimes. Giving aid and comfort to the enemy was popular back in the sixties and seventies. Don't argue with me about that one. I was around, you were not.
The worst crime she committed was in never ever honestly apologising for her actions. Saying it was "dumb" may be acceptable to you, but it falls far, far short of what she should do. She just keeps sticking it in our faces that she got away with crimes against the United States of America. That is really something to be proud of.
By the way, what brought you to the Veterans Forum? Are you in the military?
Look, we are a pretty civil bunch of men and women here on this forum and we intend to keep it that way. If you want to pick a fight with a bunch of battle savy American Warriors, you can try. You will lose, cause we just love winning. Truthfully, we'd rather not fight here in our own living room. There are other settings more appropriate.
I can't speak for everyone, and if anyone disagrees with my feeling you are more than welcome to post your thoughts, but personally I'd rather you just go back to the other forums.

Grim Jackal 09-28-2005, 04:35 RussP, a very good, thought-out post for those who do not understand why some Vets and Americans dislike or have a genuine hatred of J. Fonda. I'm a former Marine, though in my thirties I am to young to have experienced what you and other Vietnam Vets did firsthand. My Pops and Uncle however, both did two tours in Nam and felt the same way as you in regards to J. Fonda.
For those who speak out in favor of J. Fonda, just remember that you are only able to because brave American men and women stand vigilant watch over America and protect it against it's enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC. So sleep tight, and dream sweet dreams of an ignorant bliss, because to deny or downplay what she did is just a great dis-service to all American men and woman who have served, and will serve their country.
Honor, Courage and Commitment are more than just spoken or printed words. To those of you who understand what that means, I salute you.

Real Police 09-28-2005, 08:12 I will never forgive or forget jane Fonda. Even today her betrayal is stunning in scope. To think how she gave comfort and legitimacy to a brutal enemy during war time is just atrocious. I think Vietnam vets, vets in general, had no problem with her anti-war stance. But to "go" to Vietnam? to pose with their troops, to participate in s shameful staged meeting with American POWs who were being tortured horribly? To pose for a picture wearing the enemys uniform??
I still want her prosecuted for treason!!!!! And I dont give a damn how rich she is, how white she is, how liberal she is, or that daddy was a big shot in the entertainment industry. Traditionaly these people always thought they were above the law.
My memories of 'Nam were of reading my cousins letters to my dad, which dad kept hidden in the closet. My cousin was airborne and my dad was the only one he would write what was really happening to him on a daily basis. I'd bet those letters, and the experiences in them, were no different then any other letters sent home in any other American conflict. But it was the 'nam vets who were spit on...........why?
Because for to long the Jane Fondas, the John Kerrys, and Liberal entertainment "fantasy" industry has been allowed to write the history of the Vietnam war. Its time we listened to the ones who actually fought it, and dont allow spoiled "head up their ass" rich kids tell us how horrible these soldiers were.
Politicians are taking notice, thats for sure. It was the American military family that sunk John Kerry. Active, veteran, reserve, and surviving family, of army, navy,USAF,marine, and coast guard stuck it good to him. And we made him account for his winter soldier fantasys. Kerry was as bad as Janey. He used the war for selfish personal gain. I was with the boat guys in the last election and even tho I was to young for Vietnam revenge was still sweet.http://ice.he.net/~freepnet/kerry/
And Jane Fonda should be prosecuted for treason. And if found guilty she should be executed..........RP

Ailing Jane Fonda to Miss Premiere
The Associated Press
Monday, October 3, 2005; 12:54 PM
PARIS -- Jane Fonda canceled plans to attend a premiere of a documentary about her former husband Roger Vadim on Monday because of hip and back problems that prompted her to seek treatment at a Paris hospital.
Flying to France had left Fonda with hip and back pain ... Fonda, 67, had previously undergone a hip operation. ...
Fonda was expected to attend a second showing of the documentary in Paris on Tuesday night, said producer Philippe Aubert.
"Jane Fonda did indeed undergo exams this morning at the American Hospital, but she was back at her hotel by the early afternoon," Aubert said. ...

... Perhaps all those grueling workouts that helped usher in the '80s exercise craze are to blame. ... But after suffering severe hip and back pain, Fonda opted not to fly and checked into a hospital where she underwent X-rays Monday morning, according to Karine Lyons, a spokeswoman for the resort.
The two-time Oscar winner underwent hip-replacement surgery this summer ...
Meanwhile, the thespian recently decided to postpone a planned bus tour of eight U.S. cities that was set to kick off this month with British left-wing politician George Galloway that would have highlighted vegetable oil as a potential alternative fuel supply and taken aim at the Bush administration's Iraq War policy.
Fonda told Fox News two weeks ago that she decided to nix it because she didn't want to distract from the message of anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan. Instead, the cross-country roadtrip will be rescheduled for next March.

... Jul 26, 2005, 12:05 PM PT ... The actress announced her plans to embark on a cross-country roadtrip to protest the war in Iraq during an event to promote her autobiography, Jane Fonda: My Life So Far. ...
Fonda, 67, has not spoken out on any war since taking her infamous stand against the Vietnam war.
The two-time Oscar winner ignited major controversy and earned the nickname "Hanoi Jane" after she was photographed posing atop a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun while touring Vietnam in support of ending the war.
Though in recent months Fonda said she regretted the photo op, many Vietnam vets remain unwilling to let go of their grudges against the actress.
In April, one veteran decided to remind Fonda that he hadn't forgiven or forgotten the incident by waiting in line for hours at a Kansas City book signing for the sole purpose of spitting a mouthful of tobacco juice in her face.**
Another veteran made his anti-Fonda stance clear in May, when he refused to screen Monster-in-Law at either of the two movie theaters he owns in Kentucky.
...
Her roadtrip is expected to commence in March 2006, though her itinerary has not yet been finalized.

no offense taken. there are plenty of folks, such as yourself, who's views on life are crafted by those in government or media or others that would applaud your adopting their lies with open arms.
Keep repeating to yourself. Jane Fonda didn't do it. And hating her wont change the facts, or you personal problem.
jane fonda's problems are not our problems, and it belittles one's credibility to attack an individual as opposed to that person's arguements in an exchange of ideas. media tactic used by this government you don't seem to like very much.

no one sacrificed anything for a sleazy bureaucrat. you confuse your own perceptions of war with its reality in some twisted, scolding collage as old and weathered as the psychedelic t-shirts worn by those now very meaningless war protestors who grew up, became sleazy bureaucrats, and rattle your brains with lies too.

NO!!!!!! The reason that she was never charged was because the Vietnam CONFLICT was never a declared war. That being said, in my mind, heart, and in fact whole being, she is a traitor of the first water, and should be horsewhipped, then hanged and buried in an unmarked grave!!!!
She had more to do with those of us who are Vietnam Vets being vilified than any other single mammal.( Couldn't find an appropriate non human word!)
BTW I have NEVER seen any of her movies, and never will!!!

Your two sentence fragments do not make sense. Jane Fonda most certainly *DID* do "it" (go to the enemy and made a big show of supporting them while our guys were being tortured), and that is the *FACT* that we are talking about.

I'm certainly not responsible for anybodies inability to put the war behind them or get over their experience in Vietnam.
I'm not sure Jane Fonda is either.
Considering the fact that I was trained by Vietnam veterans, who never once mentioned Ms. Fonda's name or her contribution to the war effort;
Have you considered counselling? Instead of just looking for more scapegoats to badmouth on the GlockTalk veterans forum.

OutintheWoods 10-24-2005, 19:41 No Russ.
I suppose I'm just used to a little more mature group.
Fonda's a tough B.
In my opinion alot tougher than the former husbands that used to beat her black and blue nightly, over alot less stuff.
Takes a real man to beat up a woman, don't it? But heck I guess some of 'em deserve it, huh?
Sorta like those little dudes over in Vietnam defending their homes against invaders, wouldn't you say.
Just call me VC if it makes you feel better.
