The clip for my mak went flying when i went to do a detail strip and i cant find it. Any ideas? The standard clips wont fit.

Exactly what do you mean by "the clip"?

You might contact makarov.com and see what they have to say about a replacement.
Already have. He said that he hasnt seen them in years and doesnt think that they were ever imported, just the pistols. Checked out gun parts corp and they dont have one. Mak.com said that some people had made their own, i dont know where to get the stock nor do i have the tools to fabricate it. The retaining clip still might turn up, it better i have over a case of 9x18 i want to go through.

It probably wouldn't be hard to make one but might take more than your average hand tools.
A small machine shop might make you one but it might cost as much as the pistol.
I don't have my hi cap Mak any more so I can't look at it to see how hard it would be to make one.
I don't guess a 8 round Mak clip can be modified?
I don't guess the backstrap of the pistol can be reduced in size so the 8 round clip fits?
the clips for the standard mak are too big. The high cap is flatter and longer. I've tried modifying the clip and the grip to make it fit but no luck.

Sent you a PM with a possible source.
The thing to do would be to find someone who owns a double stack gun and ask to BORROW theirs so as to make a pattern from it.
