View Full Version : Who's used a 9mm conversion barrel in a G35?
I asked up in General Glocking, but it probably should have gone down here.
Who's put a 9mm Conversion barrel on their G35?
How well does it work?
I know you're going to say why, I'm looking for an IPSC gun for my son, he's 12 years old, and while he has shot my G36 and a .44 Mag Super Redhawk I think he'd do better with a 9mm. I've found a G35 locally so I'm thinking about buying it and putting the 9mm barrel in for a while.
The other option is to just buy him a G17 Police trade in and shoot that for a couple of years. That would save me about $200+.

I friend of mine did this and it shot very good. So good, in fact, that I bought myself a G34. :)

Have heard that you may need to get a $3.95 extractor along with a 9mm barrel for best results.
Been considering this setup myself, as in getting a G35 for more versality over the G34.

I have a G 35 with both a .357 SIG barrel and a 9mm barrel from KKM. You can use the .40 S&W magazines with the .357 Sig barrel, but you need G 17 magazine for the 9mm barrel. There were absolutely no reliability issues using the 9mm barrel in the G 35 with G 17 magazines. I did not change any other parts except barrel and magazine.

+1. I have the KKM 9mm barrel in my G35 and have put 2,000 rounds through it with no problems and no other changes to the gun. Using the stock ejector, the 9mm brass goes pretty much straight up, which got me to always wear a hat, and button my shirt collar!

I had good results with with a Federal .357 barrel, but a lot of FTE problems with the 9MM Federal barrel. Most people have no problems though. Anyway, bought myself a G34, problem solved.;)
You guys are tempting me...
I got a G-27...
Can I put a G-26 bbl in it and have a 1/2way reliable gun???
Can I put a G-26 bbl and extractor in it and have a 100% reliable gun?
Man, that would let me shoot alot more for less $...but I've been know to forget to swap things back out...so, I'd want it to be reliable..how 'bout the recoil spring? Need to switch it out too?
TIA

I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion bbl. for my G22 and have not had one single problem out of it in thousands of rounds.
A friend of mine has one for his G22 and has shot many many more rounds through his than I have, and he says he has never had one single malfunction with it
No need to change anything except the bbl and mags!
