I would say that it is very uncomfortable for those much over 6'. I'm 5'10" 165lbs and its hard to get in and out. I'm comfortable once in, however.

The handling is outstanding, it outhandles the 944 Turbo S I had a few years ago. Speed is awesome. The engine is not real smooth, however, and its somewhat loud for my taste. It has the stainless sport exhaust. All in all, its a terrific car to drive, if you can fit in it.

Now, all you have to do is make it go underwater and shoots missiles. Then you'll be like, "My name is Bond. James Bond."

I've always thought those were great looking cars.

What's something like that go for?

I'd love to get something like that for a Sunday driver.

Prices vary depending on year and mileage, of course. I got mine for less than $40K. Its a 1997 with 14K miles. The older 4 cylinder versions sell for less. Check out Ebay.

Its a smaller car, and it lost, are you too ignorant to understand this, or just too stupid to grasp the concept of it being fun to beat a high dollar "exotic" with a common normally slow car ?

Yep, you figured me out! Thanks for explaining your point of view. I was in the market for an Elise, but now I'm going to get a Camaro RS. Could you put it together for me? Everytime someone talks about a "high dollar exotic" car, some jackass has to bring up his "common normally slow" car that could "beat it". I'm not going to get into Lotus's design ideas for the Elise, because you already know what they are, that's why you made that brilliant comment! And I always thought Elise's were awesome drag cars. Wow, I was way off. Thanks!

And futher more, it's guys like you that give GM a bad name. Its always a GM that can "beat" the "exotic". You don't hear about Ford or Dodge guys patting themselves on the back. Why is that? Off topic, but I'm curious about this phenomenon.

The Elise is fun to drive, fast, great handling, and awesome looking, IMO. I had the chance to take one out briefly while my Esprit was getting some brake work done.

I didnt say it "can" I said it did... he picked his fight, too bad he picked the wrong GM, darn guess I did give GM a bad name, left the poor guy in the dust, what a bad impression I left on him.

Not defending the other driver (I am assuming it was an Elise he was driving), as that was a pretty stupid race to start on his part. But bragging that a Z28 can beat an Elise in a straight line is like bragging that a pro stock drag car can beat a WRC car in a drag race. The Elise wasn't made for that. Again if he chose to race you, then it's his own damn fault he lost.

The Elise is home on tight curvy roads and autocross tracks. Let's put it this way, your Z28 would have no chance against it at say..... deal's gap.

It was a 92 RS, not a Z28, he still chose the race, not to mention, with a listed stock 1/4 mile of 13.1 sec, theres quite a bit in the Z28 realm he should have beaten, and he should have had a chance (ok more like should have stomped a hole) at beating a 92 RS, too bad things change.

Z28,
What have you done to your RS?

The one I was in isnt mine, its a friends I built, it was originally a 3.1 6 cyl.

Currently:

Engine / Trans from a 95 TransAm (LT1 / 4L60E)
Edelbrock 1 5/8" shorty headers (definetly not my choice, but the choice wasnt mine to make, just what I was given to work with)
Flowmaster 3" catback (no cat). See opinion of edelbrock headers for opinion of flowmaster exhaust :)
Twin K&N's in stock TPI style air intake setup.
Hotchkis lower control arms and panhard rod
Rear axle from 91 Z28, stock 3.23 ratio posi disc.

Not a whole lot as far as mods on it as you can see, since most of the parts are stock equip, and the few that are aftermarket are far from what i've typically used on my own f bodys. On the bright side he's been getting 21 mpg city in the car.
