View Full Version : GAP Brass in the Face
I remember reading on here some time ago about an upgrade on some early Model 37's. Something was causing brass to come straight back out of the gun?????
Mostly I've been shooting some pretty hot loads and haven't had a problem. Well it's happening now when I shoot some lighter, regular loads.
Was there an ejector upgrade or something? Someone please help refresh my memory.
Thanks!
Sounds like the "Steyr M9" ejection problem...
I've not heard of any ejection problems with the Glocks or G37's in particular.
However, there was a problem with the Magazines + follower on Glock 37's in the early days... the follower is now of a newer design.
Is it possible that is what you were thinking of?
~cheers.
I had a problem with bad ejection. My 37 was made in the first month of production. It was very weak ejection, with one or two empties in each mag going over the left shoulder. The first time I sent it to Glock they merely replaced the bad mags. I had to sent it back a second time, and they did me right. They replaced the ejector and extractor, and possibly a couple more parts. The gun now runs fine.
My friend G37 is doing the same thing with 230 JHP Winchester. Both guns were early production.
Called Glock and they said no upgrades on it, just to check and make sure the extractor is in good condition.
Ejector is a .40 (G22)
Extractor is a .45 (G21)

This is actually a misconception. Both the magazine tube and the followers were redesigned. When I called Glock for replacement followers, they refused to send just the followers. They said to return the entire magazine and they would send me new ones in the wrapper as replacements. They said they had to do this because the entire mag was redesigned, not just the follower.
