I was told by someone that if you were facing off against a bunch of feral hogs, and you only had 1 round of 10mm, you could just get them to all line up. Then you fire, the bullet would penetrate through all of them, turn around & expand, then go back and knock them all over.
I say he's full of it, but he's pretty insistent.
Any thoughts?
But can a 9mm do it to Zombie Hogs or even Mall Ninja Hogs? I think that is where .22 Long shines!

Any caliber can do that.....as long as it's Extreme Shock ammo!

Does ES make 10mm?
If they do then it should part the ocean just from the blast, but I'm not too sure it can be safely fired from earth. It is more of an outer space round ;a

No, it is a completely wimpy round. If you own any you should immediately sell ALL 10mm guns and ammo to us wimps that can't handle a real cartridge (like the .25 acp). ;a
As far as a round made for an auto and not a revolver I would say it is about a "tuff" as you can get!
Rifle
Shotgun
Pistol
That is the order that I would like to use as self defense, my first choice in pistol is the mighty (magic) 10mm! ;f

I smell bacon, did someone say something about hogs?
In answer to the question, the coolest cop that was ever on television used the 10mm, so it must be the coolest pistol round that ever was. In my failing desires to be cool, I have made it my purpose in life never to buy another pistol caliber again. But since their failing desires, well, hey I am a gun addict, you can't expect me to buy just one caliber of pistols, especially when lamo gun makers can't seem to get it into their thick skulls that this IS the COOOLEST pistol round ever developed. OH WE ARE TO SCARED to step out on a limb and build a pistol in 10mm. Shoot, Glock has been walking in 10mm land so long they had to go out and build themselves a whole new cartridge just to keep that manly feeling going, no one else will step up to the plate.
I am going out for some thorazine now, thanks for stirring me up VR;g ;f

No, a 10MM isn't the ultimate round, but it's the best avaliable in a remotely normal sized handgun at this time.
I can carry my G20 (KONG) concealed if I have a need, but to hide the "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" (series 180 AutoMag) I have to dress kinda strange.
What would YOU think about seeing a penguin walking down the street wearing a raincoat ???????

WHOA! Here I was thinking the 7.62x25 was the only hand gun round that could shoot through a guys' skull, the desk he's sitting at, the floor under him, two walls in the room below, and then zip through another guy in said room. Then again, a lot of people still go by Dirty Harry and believe the .44 Magnum is "the most powerful handgun in the WORLD!". When you can get a pack of ferral hogs to line up in a row for you ....not only will you have a great act that would no doubt pull in more than enough money to keep you in good supply of Glocks and the ammo to shoot them, but you'd have some well trained hogs as well.
On a side note, I do keep seeing reliable evidence in person and hearing things that support the notion that yes, the 10mm is a damn good handgun round. Possibly one of the most versatile to come around in quite a while.

Good point, why shoot them if you can get them to line up all nice like that?
Is there a homing version of the 10mm? Sort of like that missile in attack of the clones that chased Obi Wan through the asteroid field?

Awww, tis okay, 454 backwards is 454, no harm in it.;f
Revolvers will always be the power champs. For me the 10mm is the round that has that balance of power and practicality, in a package that can either be a hunting behemoth (say a 1006) to the CCW (Glock 29). :)

Only 10MM made in Australia can do that. It's called the boomerang effect. ;)

Well, Wildey Moores .475 Magnum comes to mind along with the hollywood Desert Beagles and my favorite the old now defunct LAR Grizzly loaded with my own 2000fpe loads.

Got a friend who has a Grizzly in 50AE. When we shoot pins together & I use my AutoMag, we don't go for speed......Style points are a real crowd pleaser thou. If word gets out that we're doing a "power demo" nobody leaves until we shoot. personal best is a pin off the table & into the bullet trap ON THE FLY. pins @ 25' and a 75' range.
