View Full Version : G17 should be on it's way soon
Just placed an order for a 2nd Gen refurb from Summit Gun Brokers. Refurb by Glock, Lifetime warranty, 3 17 round mags, all for $365. And to top it off I have an FFL buddy that doesn't charge transfer fees!
Should finally have a G17 by next week.
I'm like a kid before Christmas.

Congrats. I just recommended that site to someone because of one of your past posts. Congrats and let us know what condition it is in.
Nice choice on the 17. I will have to check out that site, but I need another gun like I need a hole in the head. I WOULD LIKE another one, but am not able to finacially as my wife quit her job...The G17 ( 3rd gen. ) is my most recent purchase. I want a Springfield SOCOM II, but that is a pipe dream. Anyway, let us know how your Glock 17 performs and stay safe.

I'll post pics when it shows up, should be later part of next week.
Today is finally the day I get to pick it up.
It didn't show up before I took the family on vacation last week.

I just ran out at lunch and picked it up. I'll post some pics tonight when I get home.
From a quick field strip and inspection at my dealers here is the initial report:
Slide has been refinished with the older matte finish.
Most of the springs and small parts appear to have been replaced.
Barrel does not appear to have been refinished, but there is very little wear on the barrel finish. I think my wifes G19 has been fired more.
The grip has a fair number of scratches in it. Gun was obviously carried a lot in a holster. It looks like they tried to buff out some of the scratches, the plastic has kind of a slick feel to it almost like they covered it with Armorall.
Should get to the range on Friday to try it out.
Here's a picture of it.
If you zoom in you can see the scratches on the grip.
He's got a bunch more. G22's at the same price as well.
I always wondered what mine would look like without the finish wear on the slide. Now I know. I really like this piece. take care, Rob
I was toying withthe idea of selling my second gen G22, but if I am hesitating now, I may be regretting tomorrow. PLus, I would be taking a hundred dollar loss on what I paid for it. They make great range guns.

You know vafish, I was so impressed with Summit Gun Brokers (because of you) and Mark in particular, I ordered a G36. Let you know when it comes in.
Update: Got the G30 instead. It was a refurb also. It was one of those recalls so it had a new frame and some good night sights. The recoil spring looked a little worn but called Glock and a new one is on hte way. I took it to the range and it shoots as good or better than my other Glocks. Mike is a good guy. I will get another Glock from him.
