View Full Version : 29 or 20?
Lets do a survey. My next Glock is a 20 or a 29.
Which one and why? Thanks Glocksters
The question isn't "which one?", it's "which one first?" ;f
My opinion: G20 first, then G29!

What it's intended use? If your going to carry it, G29... if not, G20. :)

I agree witch one first! You will own both in time..The G20 for hunting and home inturders..G29 for carry.. The G20 does carry nice in a fanny pack ,but not great in under your shirt..
Both are the best 10mms for the money.

I like my G29. Handles full power Double Tap with no problem. To me it will do everything-CCW, can use G20 mags, and shoots great. I can get about under 3" groups at 25 yards, standing.
I do want the G20 just to have a full size Glock in my collection.:)

I went over this same thing a year or so ago. I got the 29 but had more of a need to hunt with it, so I ended up selling the 29 for a new 20. I would have to say that I prefer the 20 by far, but everyone has different needs in a pistol.
You can't go wrong with either one. They are both fantastic pistols. I've had nary a problem with either.

I bought a Glock 20 first. Recently I was distracted by my new 17L. Funny thing is I find myself bringing my 20 along and it's still outshooting the 17L!
I think the 29 is going to be mine soon. I just got a new job with a nice raise and there's a 29 on the dealers shelf. I thaught about the 30 instead of the 29, but I just love the 10mm and the 10mm special (.40s&w) so the 29 will be mine.
I have a G30 for CCW. Perhaps I should opt for the G20 eh?
The G30 is such an awesome little shooter. Do I need 2 compacts?
I would guess the 30 is better suited for CCW (close in shooting)
The 20 could be challenging to carry in SW FL.

What was more "comfy" to shoot, the 20 or 29.
My G30 is a creampuff to shoot. EASY recoil for me.

The 20 having a full grip would be the only thing I'd say that's more comfortable shooting them. The G29 is very nice to shoot and I put a lot of rounds through it each week.
The G20 is Glock's most potent handgun and a great one. However, if I could have only one, its the G29. My G29 is my favorite carry gun. I'm only 5'10" 165lbs and fullsize guns are very uncomfortable for me to carry.

I am leaning towards the 29. How does shoot compared to the G30.
Easy or hang on like a bullrider? For me, the G30 is a breeze to shoot. BTW... I am the same ht. & wght as you are.

I'm 5'9" 170. I have shot both the G29 and G30. With Double Tap loads the 29 has more muzzle flip. But its not flying out of my hand. I shoot it one handed(weak and strong) for CCW practice. The DT loads have well over 700 ft lbs of energy. Most other ammo companies are loaded lighter, and feel more like the G30s recoil. I would rather shoot my G29 than a G23(that I sold).
