Was it a stovepipe?
Try lubing the sliderails. Barring extractor problems, double feeds are often caused by inadequate rearward slide velocity which fails to completely clear the fired case.
As well, they often occur in newer guns which have rough slide to frame surfaces and new magazines. Make sure you adequately lube the sliderails on new Glocks especially. And run a 'lightly' lubed cutip under the part of the slide that contacts rounds sitting in the magazine. It also helps to leave magazines loaded.
This will improve function dramatically. This problem should dissappear relatively quickly.
It's also possible you got a slightly underpowered round in a batch, or a primer that failed to completely ignite the powder charge.

Hum. Yeah that aint good.
Sounds like extractor failure. But you say your extractors ok? And will eject loaded rounds no problem?
Could be a rough, new chamber, or you just got a bad case that caused the extractor to pull off the rim. Definately not something I'm familiar with as far as Glocks are concerned.
I'd try cleaning the barrel and chamber well, and running an oiled patch down it.
It will probably cure itself. I'd just chalk it up to a bad lot of ammo unless it happens again with a different brand. If so, I'd send it to Glock to see if the extractor and/or chamber/barrel is in spec. But I think that's a very small probability and have never heard of a case of that sort.
I've got a G19 with less than 200 rounds out of it, shoot Winchester exclusively and haven't had a malfunction of any kind.

when i shot my new g19 a couple weeks ago, i had two failures-to-extract in my first 100 rounds of cci blazer 115gr fmj. i didn't have any problems with wwb 147gr jhp or fiocchi 115gr fmj. not sure what caused my fte's either, but we apparently had the same problem.

Dwest,
Did you by chance keep the FTE round?

How much time does that take?
