I will be getting a chance to hve some quality time with a G29 tomorrow at the range. I just need to supply the ammo. I will only be able to get what the gun shop has in stock. What should i look for? I there anything close to DoubleTap available off the shelf? I would like to shoot something comparable to doubletap.

from what I have seem they usually sell crap compared to DT loads, maybe yours is different, and it will be expensive there too!

Very few shops stock DT. I live near one that does. If not, try some Cor-bon. It is very close to DT power. BTW, the G29 rocks!

Corbon and Winchester Silver-tip are good, a local place by me stocks Buffalo Bore in 180gr Gold Dots and they are rated a bit more powerful the the Doube Tap 180gr gold dots.

The cor bons will cost you about 7 million dollars to shoot for an hour, so it may be bets to just order some DT's and wait a few days.

Pro-Load is another to look for, not sure how much is left though. Have fun on your date and show some respect and don't go for a kiss till' the second date, O.K.?
